The Oakland Raiders sacked Hue Jackson after just one year and a 8-8 record.

The Raiders started out the season 7-4, but they could not overcome the injury of tailback Darren McFadden and limped home with a 1-4 record in their last five and missed the playoffs for the ninth year in a row.

New general manager Reggie Mckenzie wasted little time leaving a mark on the team letting Jackson go just three days after joining Oakland. More click here

YOU CAN CALL HIM CHAMP

12/17/2011 The ends have justified the means in the career of now undisputed Welterweight world champion Andre Ward after Ward dominated Carl Froch in Atlantic City to claim Froch's WBC belt to his collection.

Ward was in control from the outset and he landed nearly one hundred more punches then Froch in the finals of the Super Six competition.

Ward improved to 35-0 with the victory

Ward and his manager, Virgil Hunter, have taken heat for not rushing into a title fight after Ward won a gold medal in the 2004 Olympic's.

They are both shining bright now and the sky is the limit for the 28-year old Ward who will now look to defend his title in a prize fight down the line.
